Having not our own righteousness

In Philippians, Paul wrote in chapter 3 “rejoice in the Lord “ this he says before He reminds them to beware of those that will bring opposition against them, those that will work evil against the truth of God, as well as those that will add their legalism in the mix of Gods word. More so he tells us not to have any confidence in the flesh. We will always have these things against us for we are the children of our God, we need to stand in the truth of HIS word we find our edification and sanctification to stand in our faith. But our flesh likes to tell us we can defeat those that oppose and work evil by our own resources or strengths. How foolish we are to think we can do anything in our power for the good of His kingdom. It’s all rubbish, powerless and useless against the wiles of our enemy.

Bury it, that we may gain Christ and be found in HIM at His coming. Having not our own righteousness but only the righteousness that is from Christ that is from our Father in heaven.
