Where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth

“Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.”

Proverbs 26:20

The book of 1 Corinthians reveals our problems and divisions.

It does not take long before we identify ourselves reading in this book. Everyone will find it is not about the other guy! Their lives within us all a Charlie Brown and a Lucy. We dare not kick the problems under the rug. The Scriptures are the medicine when taken as directed will bring healing. When our Lord was leaving the disciples, Jesus said love one and other as I have loved you. I do not think this was suggestion, but a command. Scripture says we are to grow up from being a baby in spiritual development.

In 1 Corinthians Paul talked about his calling. As an example, his leadership was questioned. John Courson explains that the words to be an apostle should read like this, Paul, called an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God. Then he reminds the saints this is not my church, it is not your church, it is God’s church.

Verses 1-10 of 1 Corinthians all mention Jesus Christ over and again. HIS church is about Jesus Christ! Make no mistake about this, we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. It's not about us but Jesus.

If we can see the eyes of Christ through the eyes of our brother or sister, then many divisions can be healed. Jesus asked people if they wanted to be healed, do we? Is this kind of love spoken about shown in my life and yours? Biblically this is a daily dose if taken as directed.
