Thanksgiving Blessing
Thankful we all should be knowing Jesus Christ or Lord and Savior. Not just thankfu! during this
season but all year long and every day until we meet our Father in Heaven, God's promised
eternity. The first of the Ten Commandments reads in Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other
gods before me. Receiving Christ Jesus involves turning to God from ourselves and trusting
Jesus to come into our lives to forgive us of our sins and make us whole. Knowing that Jesus
Christ is the Son of God and He and only He died on the cross for our sins is absolutely
incredible enough but it is not enough as it is not enough to have an emotional experience that
calls and leads us to God.
In Matthew 22:37 You must love the Lord your God, with all your heart, with all your soul,
and all your mind. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of knowing God. Jesus Christ is
waiting for that invitation to come into all of our lives. It says in Revelations 3:20 Behold, I
stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into
him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Now this is something to be thankful for and
anxiously looking forward until that day.
In this time of Thanksgiving what a blessing it to know Jesus Christ is here for us, now and
forever. AMEN.
I for one am anxious to see my family and let them know how thankful we all should be
knowing Jesus. Have a blessed day and a blessed Thanksgiving season.
Selah,
David Greer
