Paul defends his ministry

Paul, speaking to the churches in the region of Asia Minor, wanted to make it clear that the message he preached was not according to man's thoughts or ways. He said, " I neither received it from man nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ."

Paul was taught by man in Judaism and the traditions of his forefathers before he had an encounter with the living God. When he met Jesus on the road to Damascus, his formal learning was set aside. He then was taught by the Lord for three years in the Arabian desert before he started to teach others. 

My prayer is that we all would spend time with Jesus, being taught by Him through the power of the Holy Spirit and not as much by other books and commentaries of man. May God speak to our hearts through his Word, and may we have ears to hear.
