Dear Mom

Just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you. This is a special day to ho- nor you for not sending me away. It’s been a long time since God called you to himself and I am looking forward to seeing you when we both will spend eternity together. I don’t visit your grave much because I know your not there. I thank God for you. I never understood why you hated me and reminded me often that you wished I had never been born. Still, I loved you and today is your day. Jesus saved you and gave me back a mother I longed for so many years ago. Well mom I am 73 years old with grandchildren and great grandchildren, and I just wanted to thank you for being my mom. I am looking for Jesus to come back but I might come to see you before his return. Happy Mother’s Day!

Honor thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Deut. 5:16
