How do we align our hearts with Gods heart?
Many of us have a real struggle with trying to determine Gods Will for our lives, the direction he wants us to go, or even making the right decisions, (Is this what God has for me? Is this the will of God for me? - an example). I hope this short devotion answers some of your questions. Because Unless we are being intentional in reading Gods word to hear from Him in these matters you will never get your answer to that which you are seeking. Many read out of duty, and many just read flippantly and they are all over the place. Can God speak to you that way? Absolutely; but its like a shotgun blast, bbs scattered all over. The scriptures tells us absolutely how to align our hearts with Gods heart and we will start with Proverbs 4:1 thru 10 and from there you have your bibles filled with Gods heart, His intentions, His will, His way, and His examples. God will use all of it to align your hearts with His - The (She or her in proverbs 4 is speaking about the word of God in the feminine root of the sentence structure in the Hebrew writing. And in other places in proverbs it is speaking of a woman - but here its speaking of His Word
Proverbs 4:1 thru 10
Get Wisdom at Any Cost
Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention and gain understanding. I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching. For I too was a son to my father, still tender, and cherished by my mother. Then he taught me, and he said to me, “Take hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live. Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.” Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.
As King David instructed his son Solomon in this proverb, God our Father instructs us to learn and pay attention to His Words, and His teachings, (The Bible), gain understanding, take hold of it with all your heart, get wisdom, get understanding from it, and accept it for what it says because its life. Wisdom is the ability to use knowledge without wisdom knowledge is useless. Enjoy the Journey; I sure have - And God has led perfectly, and spoke clearly through His Word. But you will have to wait patiently at times because Gods timing is not our timing and nor are His ways our ways.
Enjoying the journey with my faithful God
