For God So Loved the World

Arguably, the most well known verse in the Bible is John 3:16 - - “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Not as well known is the very next verse – John 3:17 - - “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.”

Couple those two verses with 2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

These are three powerful verses that should encourage each of us to reach out to lost ones in our lives. These verses should also help us to fend off the attempts of the evil one to make us timid about sharing the Gospel - - we have God on our side – and HIS will is that all should come to repentance and be saved.  My prayer for each of us is that God shows us - - reveals to us - - “how” we can share the love of Jesus with lost ones in our lives.  Each of us will have different ways shown to us, simply because God created each of us with different personalities.
