A Coming King
I always find it so fitting that during your devotions God knows exactly when and how to speak to you! I always end up in the exact place in scripture God needed me to be to speak to my heart. In my devotions right now I’m in the book of Luke. And just starting it right on time to line up with the season of Christmas! But what always gets to me is how perfectly ordained the whole birth of Jesus is. From the census decree, to no inns being open, to Jesus being laid in a manger. It was all perfectly directed. No inn, God provided. No bed for the baby, God provided. He is always going to provide for us, it just may not be in the way we want or we see it. He is always going to direct us, it just may not be where we want to be directed. The past few months I have really seen God as a major provider in my life. Even the King and Savior of the World needed His Heavenly Father to provide. And Jesus didn’t complain but realized that these were blessings from God. Mary and Joseph didn’t complain but realized that God had provided for them. God does things His way and His way only. We just have to be willing to submit. Because just as he knew that this plan was perfect for Jesus and redemption of the world. The plan he has for your life is perfect.
