Believers – we ARE called to PRAY – without ceasing!!!

Repeatedly, throughout God’s Word, we are told to pray, to seek God’s will, to intercede for others, to gather in His house and pray!!  Calvary Chapel Foley schedules, and designates, the first Wednesday evening of every month as a time dedicated to prayer. . . . . THAT service (in my opinion), should be the most attended service in our month!!!  Every believer is called,  by God, to be a prayer warrior, an intercessor . . . . . .

Isaiah 56:7 “. . . . . For My house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”

James 5:16 “. . . . .The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man will accomplish much.”

1 Thessalonians 5:17 “pray without ceasing.”

Ephesians 6:18 “. . . . pray at all times. . . . “

James 4:2-3 “. . . . . you have not, because you ask not . . . . . you ask and do not receive because you ask with the wrong motives . . . “

 As I seek the Lord in my own devotions and prayer times, I repeatedly ask Him to show me where I fall short. . . . and how can I be a better, stronger, more effective part of this body of Christ.  His answer to me usually involves a passage of Scripture that tells me to pray . . . . our Heavenly Father eagerly awaits our petitions . . . and I believe that He is eager to respond. . . .
