THANKSGIVING

How thankful we all should be knowing Jesus Christ our Lord. Not just thankful during this season of Thanks- giving but all year long and every day until we get to meet our Father in Heaven, God’s promised eternity. The first of the Ten Commandments reads in Exodus 20:3 Thou shall have no other gods before me. Receiving Christ Jesus involves turning to God from ourselves and trusting Jesus Christ to come into our lives to forgive us of our sins and make us what he wants us to be. Knowing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he and only he died on the cross for our sins is absolutely incredible but it is not enough, as it is not enough to have an emotional situation or experience that calls and leads us to God. In Matthew 22:37 You must love the Lord your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your mind. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of knowing God, Jesus Christ is waiting for that invitation to come into your life. In Revelations 3:20 it reads: Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Now here is something to be thankful and anxiously looking forward to.
In this time of Thanksgiving what a blessing it is to know that Jesus Christ is here for us, now and always. I for one am anxious to see my family and tell them how thankful we all should be.
