Prosperity and Adversity
In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, so that man can find out nothing that will come after him. Ecclesiastes 7:14
Each believer in Christ will have times of prosperity and times of adversity. The good and prosperous days are in God’s design, special times of comfort and rejoicing. The days of affliction and trouble are in God’s design, a season of recollection and serious consideration. The mixture of good and bad days is by Devine Providence. God purposed that we would not know the future so that we would have constant reliance on Him whether it is in times of despair and trials or times of prosperity and joy.
We are blessed to have a church family that can and will come along side each other in prayer and comfort in the times of adversity as well as rejoicing when we go through seasons of joy and prosperity.
In ending I want to add that I can see this next verse in action in our church family:
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one anot- her. By this all will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another. John 13:34
Be Blessed,
