Be of Good Cheer
Next week on September 2nd we celebrate Labor Day. According to history this holiday was to remember a dismal time for workers who faced long hours, low wages and unsafe work conditions. As believers we can also get caught up with the struggles in this life, but we are told in John 16:33 to "be of good cheer" These things I have spoken to you that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations; bot be of good cheer Jesus has overcome all these things. And in Hebrew 6:10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints. May we not forget why we do what we are called to do and find our rest in Jesus. Matt 11:28-30 we are told to come to Jesus, all you who labor and are heavy laden, take His yoke upon you and learn from Him, for He is gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your Souls. For His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
